Great place to begin recreational sports! We have been going here for all our sports activities for the last 2 years, and I'm happy to say we are very pleased with our experiences so far. For the First year, we signed up or daughters (agrees 5 & 7) to their all-sports summer camps, and the girls loved it!
The following year, we enrolled our eldest into the volleyball rec league, and it has also been a great experience. The kids received a t-shirt with the team registration, as well as one practice hour each week, in addition to the weekly games. Such a great value!
The volleyball skills sessions are a bit over-priced at four 1-hour sessions for $140 (yikes!), and my daughter told me the instructors do not differentiate the skills instruction based on skill level; instead they have everyone doing the same drill. There may be a method to the madness, but needless to say, she's bored and doesn't want to return for the second set of skills sessions. Otherwise, we have loved coming here. The facilities are discuss and clean, and despite a lot of different games/leagues happening at once, it always seems like ours is the only game being played (aside from the occasional stray ball that comes into our court). Would definitely recommend for families new to sports!
Huge sports venue. I feel like I live here. Son plays basketball and daughter plays volleyball
The leagues are… special.
If you don’t have a team that walks on, you’re stuck with whatever parent coach you get.
Their skills programs are a joke, cash grab. The “advanced” skills was taught by a guy who set up cones and explained drills for 1/3 of the time of the class. Drills that don’t add skill, and his instruction was lazy and added nothing to anybody’s skill.
It was daycare for my son. Barely could call it exercise.
No customer service! And blew my money on sports here. Signed both of my sons up for basketball to LEARN to play. Both of them had coaches that wouldn’t play them and unfortunately only played the kids with the color of skin as them. I hate to say it but it was obvious. When we approached one of the coaches he was rude and said if we didn’t like it then leave. Not much else to do. It we left but not without my son crying because he had the worst experience. When I called to talk to the manager of the teams he never answered or returned calls. Apparently, this is an ongoing problem. They don’t care if kids are played fairly and don’t care if parents are unhappy. Kids played through FSA soccer for 5+ years and we’ve never seen anything like this!
First off I want to say that for a sporting event center it is a great place but as far as a family friendly center it's not so much. The bathrooms are ALWAYS FILTHY, and the seating is always sticky and gross. The changing tables are really dirty also. If there was another center like it, we would probably go there, but sure, everywhere has an issue. We like the refs most of the time, and as long as we aren't getting hit by stray objects, it's a good time.
There is plenty of space on the inside (several courts, ~10 for basketball and volleyball), there is also karate, soccer, and tumbling (that can all happen simultaneously!). There are several snack areas (to pick up popcorn, dipping dots, and other goodies) but also an area to get quick meals like chicken strips. You can sit and eat (while watching the kids practice or catch a quick game on several tvs on the wall).
Did I mention that they also have a barber shop located on the inside? Yes, it’s there. Great atmosphere!!!
My daughter and her friend heard a boy say the N word at the summer all sports camp yesterday. They told the counselors and when the boy cried and denied saying it, Fieldhouse had a talk with my girls and asked why they were starting trouble. They told me everything and Fieldhouse really dropped the ball here. They believed the boy and we lost the opportunity to teach a good lesson to all of them I want my money back immediately. We will not return and I doubt they care.
The balding guy at the desk sometimes is the absolute rudest human I’ve come across. Maybe he has napoleon complex. I’ve heard from other folks too, they fear this guy. Maybe hire an ex-chik fil a manager, they have great customer service skills
